End of the Year

The school year is quickly coming closer to an end and it seems busier and busier each day. The kids have practices and meets and field trips seemingly every day. Daycare is extra busy as I help out a fellow provider who had a family loss recently and needs her time. I have projects I just can’t motivate myself to do by the end of the day.

These days are bittersweet. They seem busy, but will quickly be at an end. It seems like just yesterday lovely Miss N1 was finishing her first year of school, and now she will be headed to high school in the fall. Little Miss N2 really is finishing her final days of Kindergarten!

I am finishing my last spring of daycare and trying to figure out what my next step will be. I really wish I knew what I wanted to be when I grow up! I also really wish Mother Nature could get her act together so we could play outside- 48 and rainy isn’t so great for that! Applying for jobs makes N2 cry, every single time. She is struggling with my job change as much as I am.

Luckily for me, my ankle seems to be better and I am slowly increasing milage and number of days I can get out and run. I still have to run inside more than not because of schedules and weather. Our next running adventure is Ragnar MN! I can’t wait to hop in a van with some of the loveliest people I know, and get out with inside jokes and songs that have more meaning to them. The sweaty smell will take a few days to clear out of our Expedition, but it will be soooo worth it!

My procrastination is delving into the crafting realm as well. I need to finish:
hanging towels
hemming pants
a blanket I started
a shawl for A that I’m remaking because the first one was to small
a pink, fluffy, unicorn rug I started

What are you working on as you scramble to the end of the school year?
